Demonstrator Conceptualization (Activity A3)

The demonstrator's design was parametrized in order to manage the small changes the team needs to make according to extruder settings and practical conditionings. All parts were designed with robotic arm EBAM in mind which shaped the form (all curves and angles) with very specific parameters. The final design of the demonstrator is a modular solution that allows for different combinations of functional modules. These include 3 benches that can be reorganized and coupled in various ways to expand its use; a canopy where solar panels and all environmental sensors are nested and protected from rainwater; and a pole which is itself composed of modular pieces (standing or seated table, screen module and spacers). These pole modules were thought to host different functions in the future where, using its base shape, other people and entities can design new functions to enhance the public space.
